This page explains what happens to the information you give me through this website. It is written to meet GDPR, and deliberately in plain English. [TODO: have this reviewed before go-live. It is a starting point, not legal advice.]

Who is responsible for your information

Priscilla Mangan, trading as Still Minds, Killucan, Co. Westmeath, Ireland. You can reach me at info@stillmindscounselling.ie with any question about your data.

What this website collects

If you fill in the contact form, I receive the name, email address, phone number (if you give one) and message you type. That's sent to my email inbox and nowhere else.

This website does not store your enquiry in a database, does not build a profile on you, and does not pass anything to advertisers.

If you message me directly

You can also reach me by email or on WhatsApp. Email comes to my inbox. A WhatsApp message is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy, and it shows my phone number to you and yours to me.

Either is fine for arranging a time. For anything very personal, it is kinder to yourself to keep it for when we meet.

Why I'm allowed to hold it

Your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and my legitimate interest in replying to someone who has asked me a question. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing me.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that don't become sessions are deleted after [SIX MONTHS]. If we go on to work together, your records are kept for [RETENTION PERIOD] as my accrediting body requires, then securely destroyed. [TODO: confirm both periods with your accrediting body and insurer.]

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no tracking cookies. Nothing that identifies you loads unless you choose it.

If analytics are ever switched on, they will be privacy-friendly, will not track you across other websites, and will not run at all until you agree via the banner.

Your rights

You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email me and I'll respond within a month.

If you're not satisfied with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
